Its finally warm enough to go out and play in the snow. After the subzero temps of the past week its be wonderful seeing the 40’s for the last couple of days. So with that it made the snow that started out as not good stick together snow into perfect build a fort and throw snow ball snow.

 

Hope we get to keep the warm weather for a while. Need to get out of this house!!

Who touches your soul as much as your heart and I can honestly say that is Diana for me. Today I received what I would have to say is probably the best gift I have ever received. Actually the meaning behind the gift is what made it so special. I wont post it here ( no worries Diana LOL ) but it left me speechless and in tears.

Diana I can NOT thank you enough for the scarf. I will treasure it forever. It will be well worn and well loved I assure you! The color is perfect. The pattern is beautiful and OMGOSH its so soft. I sit here with my toes cold but my neck toasty warm thanks to you. Did I mention I LOVE IT!!!!

And yes LOL I LOVE GLITTER HAHAHAHA

Its amazing what a new pair of boots will do for a kid lol. Joshua spent the whole afternoon playing outside. It was in the high 30’s today so it was a perfect day for it. The snow was crappy but he didnt care.

Is it over yet? That is how I am feeling about Christmas and Winter in general. Even Joshua let Santa off the hook for stopping by this year…

Every year our neighbor dresses up like Santa. This year Dale and I figured we would let him off the hook for stopping by ( well not off the hook LOL they loved doing it and we loved having them do it) and decided that this year was the year that “Santa had to stop making his special stop so that up and coming little boys and girls could get a chance to see him”. We had it all set. The reasons, the excuses, even Joshua was like “I understand, but he is still coming by after I am asleep right?” yup still coming by after your asleep. So anyways Dale wandered down the street to the neighbors to let them know that they wouldn’t have to stop by and come to find out LOL Santa Retired! He had a list of kids he had been stopping to see for years that he is going to put in special Christmas Eve calls into but other than that he is going to stay home and play Grandpa instead. Cant blame him. Gut have to admit a sigh of relief to find he wasn’t going to do it which makes my guilt for just not being in the mood for them to come down ease just a bit. So we explained to Joshua that we had emailed Santa ( gotta love a new age of the way to chat with Santa ) and explained that it was perfectly ok that he cut back on the numbers of trips he makes this year as long as he at least stops once on his way by to drop off goodies and that we would look forward to his call on Christmas Eve and to have a safe “flight”. Joshua was worried that they didn’t have our phone number though so I assured him they did by showing him my phones contact list that showed Mrs. & Mr. Santa. Yes we really have their phone number *grin*. How many people can say that HUH!? hahaha

So Santa ( and Daddy & I ) are off the hook for this year on that. Christmas is going to be slim pickens this year but at least there will be stuff under there for Joshua. ALLLL he wants are Transformers and Bionicles LOL so it was actually an easy year to shop for him. I wanted to get him some new Wii games but the budget said no. So after Christmas when all the stuff goes on major sale I will look for some. Dale is getting a MP3 player($14) that HE bought LOL and I am wrapping to be from me. He is getting me a Hobby Lobby gift card($14 to keep it fair LOL) that I bought and am wrapping for him to give to me. HAHAHAHA Frankly with all the cuts we are lucky to even be doing that.

Speaking of cuts… did I mention the latest one? Yup got a notice that our Health Insurance is now going to change. Basically its going up like $40 or $50 a month (which should be nice to figure out how to pay for since we had over $600 a month cut OUT of our pay) PLUS our deductible is now over $500 per person. Guess we wont be seeing the doctor unless its on our death bed. Not sure how I am going to pull paying for my yearly appt. And blood work? Well its out the window now. I don’t even want to know what the dental went to. *sigh*

Its been colder than cold here and I am scared to see what next months electric bill is going to be. We already didn’t put up even a 1/4 of the Christmas stuff due to trying to avoid a huge bill and then sub zero weather kicked us in the ass for 2 weeks and we have been living wrapped around space heaters. Would have fixed a lot of the cold problems in the house but then that comes back to all the cuts from this past year killing the whole “big Picture Plan”. How many socks can a person wear before not being able to walk properly? I will let you know…Have to wonder if the upper rung-ers ever have to be cold in the winter… bet not.

Got the web site up for the Scrapbook Store I am “working for” done. I cant even begin to tell you how many hours in the last month I have into that site. Been a long time since I had to do web work. Details .. its all the little details… Have a lot to say about all that but that’s for another day. But its up and going and people seem to be enjoying it. Also got the Facebook thing up for them and we have fans! LOL Still need to get Twitter set up but they haven’t gotten back to me on a name yet since the one they have is to long… Lots of changes coming with the whole thing so we will see how it goes…

Joshua is doing great in school. For a while there I thought UH OH but he seems to have really turned it around and is doing well. Between the earning of TV/Video Game minutes and the “just do it over and over and over again till you get it” thing he seems to have changed gears and is doing really well now. Im so glad cuz frankly it was stressin me out.

Been getting some crafting done. If you have been by my craft blog you have seen it. To be honest I am not holiday inspired this year so its been super hard to come up with anything. I did the Kit Of The Month stuff for Scrapbook Legacies ( I am on the design team there ) but it was hard to come up with anything as I just didnt even want to deal with Christmas anything. Got a few other just for me things done but mostly just tinkering around.

Weather seems to be warming up. Glad cuz I dont drive in the Winter so its been a rough couple of weeks being stuck here at the house. Should be clear enough to get out and get some shopping and visiting done this weekend. Hobby Lobby is just begging me to visit *grin*. Ok that and The hubster would really appreciate it if I would go to Walmart instead of making him LOL. He is so good about doing the shopping in the Winter for me. I know he hates it ( well frankly I do to be guess that is a different story). But anyways so it will be nice to get out and get some stuff done before the next snow storm comes in. I can handle the cold just not the snowy roads. Stresses me out…

Lets see on the weight front I am 3 years and almost 2 months out and have happily maintained here between 170 and 175ish. I have hit a comfy spot I guess. Even lost 3lbs over Turkey Day holidays HAHAHA but I plan to gain those back next week over crap food we look forward to eating alllllllll year long! I make THE BEST bean dip in the whole world. We live on it for a week! LOL It started out as a layered bean dip type recipe and over the years has turned into this whole big deal lol. Refried beans, cream cheese, roasted onions, roasted whole peppers, roasted chilies (yes I roast them allllllllll myself ) and roasted garlic, sour cream, shredded cheese, olives, green onions *sigh* its just dreamy good. The of course there is the cream cheese, salsa and shrimp dip. OH OH OH And the spinach dip ( yes the one off the back of the Knor box) YUMMMMMMMMMMMY! Ok and there is the shimp and the ham and …. you getting a theme here? HAHAHAHA

Welp speaking of food I need another cup of coffee… Hope you all are having a more Merry Holiday Season. LIfe is good… realllllllllllllllllllllllly freaking irritating…. but good lol This year has basically worn my brain out and I am so ready for the New Year. Its always the hope that it will be a better year next year that keeps me afloat! Hope Floats ya know! ( ok corny lol)
