Fun Photo Challenge
Ok so I am posting 2 options so you can choose which you feel more comfortable doing.
Option #1 – Where you live. This can be your house. Your street. Your neighborhood. Your city. Anything you want it to be that shows where you live. It has to be a photo YOU took though. It does NOT have to tell your exact location (like your address etc) so it can be as general as a shot you took of your city. Make sense?
Here is mine. Since I don’t care if you see where I live LOL I picked my house. Its April in Montana so we are lucky to see any green at all yet lol.
We are going to be putting another awning on the front larger window soon. There will also be a deck out front eventually lol. We just got these views of the house sided. Only have 2 more walls do to and its done thank goodness! SHEESH what a project. Looks good though ( at least I think so lol). We have just under an acre. I cant wait till everything is green to show you the hedge and the apple and cherry trees in bloom. Anyways thats are little home sweet (royal pain in the hiney) house =0)
Option #2 - One of your “To Do List” projects. This can be anything from a shot of something in or outside your house that you want to fix, remodel, refurbish, etc.. to a shot of a recipe you are wanting to try etc. Basically just something you need to do that you haven’t done yet.
My choice for this ( remember you do NOT have to do both!! ) was my rose garden. Its falling apart ( not leaving my house for 5 years really did a number on it – pathetic, long story yada yada *yawn*). So its my To Do List project photo. I want to replace all the wood timbers with brick. I will be installing a permanent watering system. I already have (towards the back part) beautiful roses in) but I want to re do the front part closest to you with just 2 roses ( already there) and then use the rest for some veggies. Eventually when we get to the point of working on the yard ( finishing up siding the house this year and doing up the back) most of this garden will be under a new front deck~! But for now its getting a face lift and some new flowers and veggies.
What you can see green in the front is actually wild green onions. Except the lighter green which is garlic that I do not know how to harvest so it just keeps coming back every year and spreading out lol. The brown stuff in the lower right hand corner will be ( when it comes back this Spring) lemon and regular time. The green spot in the middle up there is chives. They get about 2.5 feet tall and about 3.5 feet across. BEAUTIFUL and so yummy in everything. The little brown clumps through out are my roses. I am so excited to work on this garden this year. Last year I did a bit ( yes I know it doesn’t look like it but winter is hard on it lol) but this year I will really get to get out there and bend and kneel and work. Dale is going to teach me to solder so I can put in the sprinkler system for it. It will all be hooked to a timer.

Hello, Felicia! Thanks for another cool idea. I posted a picture from Hot Springs, Ark., where it’s quite a bit greener than your state right now. Also, your herb garden sounds amazing. I think I’ll tackle that this year, too.

I like this idea and I promise to post a picture soon… I shall have to take one!
although I think I could go for option 2 from the project I did on the house before I moved in last year you a kind of before and after pic, but those are on my PC… watch this space!

Hey! I always imagined you living in an igloo with penguins in the yard
I”ll have to work on this and post something over the weekend. I have posted tons of pictures of the parks around my house, maybe I’ll post more beach shots and one of the house…but it won’t be until Saturday or Sunday.

How fun is this!!! You sure know how to keep things fun and interesting! Great to see where you live!! We have those wild onions too!!!!!!! My puppy got into them a few years ago..I was so scared. I hear it keeps away pests…but man..somedays my backyard STINKS!!! Oh dear..which to do project to pick!!:)

I am so enjoying it myself. Its fun to get to really “see” into peoples lives that normally we would never get to. I mean most of us are 1000′s of miles apart. So this brings us all a little closer.
I hear you about the onions. Joshua wanted to “plant something” last years so I let him replant some of the onions. They are going to have a short life span this year lol as I want something else there now. I have to figure out how to harvest the garlic though. Fresh garlic. YUM!
